Consumed an entire 22oz bottle. Poured a slightly orange color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma was some nice citrus notes, malts. Grapefruit, floral. Citrus, biscuit malts. Pretty tasty.

Growler to a mug and then a pint glass; pretty much the same appearance between the two which is a cloudy golden orange colored body with a one and a half finger foamy white head that dies within a minute and leaves some nice somewhat spider web/sporadic lacing that clings in a very nice way; the aroma has spiced apples up front with some earthy grapefruit/orange peel/lemon-ness going on to combine with some caramel malts in the background; the taste is sweet yet kinda earthy/musty flavors the mouth through the spiced apples and the secondary flavorings of the aroma, gets a bit resinous in the mouth, some cherry and peach starts to come out a bit as it warms, light honey comes out as well; sticky sweet apple/peach/cherry aftertaste; it has a kind of watery finish; for the most part is kinda easy on the palate but there is a degree of harshness entering in like an AIPA, no worries, still good; overall, wow, good to see another winter warmer that is pretty good in the PNW

Appearance is nothing special , but it has a nice nose, malt and hops. Taste is even better, aforementioned malt and hops with a hint of alcohol burn. Palate is surprisingly subdued however, but lasts a long time in the mouth.

Tap at Elysian, Seattle, 27/05/13. Lightly hazed golden amber. Nose is bitter orange, light booze, caramel, touch of hops, malts. Taste comprises bready malts, sugar, tangerines, hop notes, bitter orange. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, boozey citrus resonance in the finale. Ok but a little over boozey for a 7.6% beer, I’ve had double digit ABV’ers that have shown their hand far more subtley.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Yoav. Hazy orange. Aroma of hops, slightly stale, marmalade and some malt. Sweetish malty flavor with a bitter finish, piney and resinous. Medium-bodied.

Undougbtibly a big strong ale. First I thought it was a double IPA but then there is something else in therE. Its alky content is IN YOUR FACE. I know it says its only 7 and a half but it comes across like a tenner. One thing I appreciate about this winter beer is tha there is no spices in it, so thank you. Yes, difficult to get down the gullet unless you are looking for that big ass buzz. Two bottles of this uncivilized drink will get you there, wew. Big long bitter finish reminds me of IIPA with a weird twist of malt. Oily mouthcoating palate. Now thaqt I look at it, does come across as a little viscous to the eye. Not enjoyable for a gentle lager lover.
