bottle. gushing bottle when opening. infected? clear dark brown, huge fluffy light brown head. aroma is roasted malts, dusty/spicy/wild yeasty note. flavor is roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, nice bitterness, nice roasted maltiness. While the aroma and the gushing was a disappointment, the flavor is great, dry roasted malty base, with well balanced additions of dark chocolate and coffee notes.

Great nose of caramel and coffee. The brew starts roasted with hints of hazelnuts. Moderate dry, lots of roasted grain with a nice creamy coffee finish. Very well balanced, smooth mild with lots of dry roast. Very nice!

Gold Creek Campground, can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour. It has a good malt base, some bread and biscuit accent, the coffee would be not welcome here, but it's fairly light, and the alcohol warmth is pleasant; low level of sweetness (in line with the style).
Good.

Rich brown with a rich light brown head. Chocolate and cocoa with a touch of coffee. Lots of cocoa and rich bitter chocolate and a long finish. Coffee is in the background and just barely. Nice, just wish the coffee was bolder.

Black beer, off-white head. Rich aroma of malt and coffee. Dark chocolate, coffee, toasty malt in the flavour. A little creaminess in there and possibly a touch of liquourice in the finish. Not a massively complex flavour but it's rich and rather tasty.
