Our legendary double amber ale is smooth and complex with roasted malt flavors and sweet notes of caramel & chocolate. Bittering hops balance the bags of malt that make this brew deliciously Vermont.

At 7.2 percent alcohol by volume, this is one brew worth milking.

Bottle. Clear very deep amber to mahogany. Caramel, burnt malts, earthy, plums, cherries, soft pecans, bitter weedy hops. Quite sweet but also solid bitter. Crisp full body with quite some carbonation. Really not bad.

Old rating from 12-01-17 - A 12oz bottle brought back from New York City last year. It pours a hazy dark amber colour with a off-white head that leaves lacings. Aromas of roasted malt, orange, caramel & honey. Tastes of roasted malt, orange, caramel, honey, Aftertaste has crisp hops in the middle ending crisp with a lingering sweetness. Light in body with average carbonation.

Pours a dark amber with a thin head. Aroma of cereal. Tastes like toasted malt and spices with a little hint of alcohol. Palate includes nutmeg, cereal, grains and oak. Interesting beer.
