A light, refreshing fruit beer fremented with over 500 pounds of real raspberries! At 6.2% ABV it is in the early reaches of the strong biére category! This ruby red, sour mashed and oak aged weiss beer is for everyone. Maybe some oak, cherry and vanilla come through? Try mixing it with our currently offered stout, on tap. It is real, it is right and it works. The freshest framboise on tap in town, no question!

On tap at the brewpub.
Clear oinkish red pour, with no head. Aroma of well, duh, raspberries. But its quite fruity kn general, all sorts of berries, and quite a bit of funk. The description the in the bar also claims it’s aged in oak. That would explain the light hints of vanilla, and wood im getting also. The body is nice, but the carb is very low. The finish is like a boozy cranberry juice. Quite tart, with a lightly sweet finish, with a load of fruitiness. Nice stuff but some carbonation would have made it that much better.

Tap @ the brewpub. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy orange. Aroma and taste are rich raspberries, little citrus, fruits, malt and has a light sour finish.

On tap at Vermont Pub, pours a hazy dark red with a small white head. Nose is cloying, with lots of artificially sweet raspberries upfront. Flavour is monolithic on the cloyingly sweet raspberries. Not getting much depth here. It's alright.

Keg at Vermont Pub & Brewery, Burlington. Clear copper red, miniscule head. Aroma of raspberry jam. Sweet with medium body and clean mouthfeel. Raspberries and strawberries. Not much else. Low bitterness. Not much going for it.

On tap at the brewpub.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy dark amber, almost pink color. Nice frothy white head. Slow dissipation.
The smell had some tart cherries, semi-sweet yet sour. Underscore of citrus. Sweet to sour grapes. The taste was mainly the same bringing together the tart and the sweet and the sour. Citrus to sour cherry aftertaste. Semi-smooth wet sour cherry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light. Sour harshness hits my tongue just right.
Overall, fruit beer or sour beer, doesn’t really matter too much to me as I’d say this was very good and I’m sure to come back to.

A nice acidic raspberry flavor with a relative clean finish. I`d call this a middle of the road ale.

Had at the pub itself. Pours a purple-red colour with not much lace. Beautiful raspberry aromas with some tart. Slightly watery mouthfeel. Taste is pretty much the same as the nose but a little milder with light sourness in the finish. Refreshing on a hot summer day on the patio.
