[2/26/15] Draught at Hopworks BikeBar in Portland. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma of lager yeast, a bit vegetal, and some grassy/herbal hops. Flavor has some graininess, yeast, and a bitterish noble hops finish. Medium-bodied.

Golden colour, mushroomy aroma like Chinese herbal liquor. Light body. Moderate bitterness, okay beer but too much emphasis on the caramels.

I’ve little experience with Pilseners, and this is called a lager, so I’m confused. Nevertheless, it has the head and body of a macro lager, but the similarities end there. The aroma is dusty with some mild citrus and honey. The hops really pop in the mouth and make this memorable, though I do wonder whether our American friends are determined to overwhelm every last style of beer with their extreme hop wave. I also wonder whether I’d mind.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A big malty, sweaty nose. Light biscuit, honey, some grain. Easy and clean.

Draft - Some grain and that's about it. Pale yellow with a fizzy head. Grains and a light bitterness. Nice lager but still a lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours gold with a lasting head.Nose shows lemon/dill sorachi-like notes, soft bready malt and banana. Quite nice.Flavours include more bready notes, soft dill and spicy hops. Enjoyable stuff.Carbonation could be higher.

Can, 10C. Very pale yellow gold with a modest white head that fades a fair bit. Aroma of lemon, grass, grain. Light bodied, quite high carbonation. Grainy sweetness is restrained and almost austere, bitterness quite high with grass, lemon and a little pepper. Doesn’t taste quite like a Czech beer, but tastes for a change like whoever made it actually likes pilsener. Good stuff.

Can from Made in Oregon. Pours darkish gold with a transient white head. Aroma of bready malt and fruity hop. Med body. Chewy carb. Flavor is bready malt and lightly spicy. A little earthy. Very nice pilsner. Bitter enough for me.
