This is our example of a classical Vienna style lager, rarely seen in the world today. Brewed using three different malts, this beer displays a distinct caramel malt character and was traditionally brewed in Austria before brewers in Czechoslovakia invented the gold coloured Czech Pilsen. This is a medium bodied lager with a low hop bitterness and a mild caramel like sweetness.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein courtesy of Bierkrug. Sweet caramel malt and light cinnamon aroma. Clear amber color with small head. Sweet caramel malt flavor. Light body. Good but a bit light.

Bottled@omhpertasting.Deep goldeny amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild toasted notes as well as some slight fruits and grass. Flavour is rather similar. Pleasant and quite clean.

Bottled, thanks Bierkrug! Hazy amber, small head. Bready nose with some canteloupe. Mid sweet with very light body. Fruity with restrained, careful doughy malt flavours ane low hop rate. Shows some promise, but needs more substance.

Can bought in Kenya. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Light bitter slightly caramellic and metallic flavor. Short finish. Watery palate. Deasent african brew.
