On tap at Big Texas Beer Fest. Pours a hazy amber with small beige head.The aroma is toasted malt and dark fruit. Medium body, raisin, biscuit, pine, light bitterness, good.

Draft at C.B. & Potts, Breckenridge, CO. Pours a clear dark mahogany color with an off-white head. Typical amber ale characteristics. Good malty caramel flavor. Clean.

Purchased at Wilbur's Liquors in Ft Collins as part of a mixed 6 Pack.

This pours from 12oz bottle(brewed and bottled in Ft Collins) a clear amber with a quickly dissipating head of foam. By the the time I finished typing that, the only remains of the foam is a ring around the glass and there's almost no lacing.

The smell has some caramel malt and nutiness in it. A good nose, imho.

The taste is nice. I get some sweet malt, a heeping helping of grain, and a nice nutty flavour. Over all, this is a sweet Amber but it doesn't go overboard and become cloying. I like sipping on this Amber and I'm not a huge fan of the style. The body is on the thin side but the flavours kind of cover that flaw and it's pretty lightly carbonated so for me, it has a nice drinkability factor going on. I'd say that if you see some, try some. You may be pleasantly surprised as I was. Good stuff.

Draft at Boise brewery.Pretty bland.l Light, clear amber. Faint aroma and taste, genetic maltiness. Not much of a finish. Just all around weak.

Clear reddish color. Sorry lace. Caramel malts. There's some roasted notes and a bit of earthy hops. Light-medium body. Okay beer.

On tap at Big Horn U District, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Nose brings out lots of caramel bready malt, very gentle hop aroma as well. Flavour is along the same lines, with dry bready malt, some toasted caramel and a touch of dry hops. Standard amber that is decently balanced but lacking character.

Sampler at Schaumburg. Chalky grey-brown body. Classic 90s brewpub style amber. Big chewy malt notes. Meh.

Draft: at RAM, downtown Indy Clear, deep wet copper with a small, off white head. Caramel, nut aroma. Caramel malt, fruit, earthy, likeable mild bittering. Pretty good and straightforward.

On tap at Ram, Tacoma. It’s a pale amber colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma is a tad buttery, and too much on the toffee side for my likings. Some pleasant malts and fruityness too. The flavor is pretty much the same, but with the added joy of bittering hops. Medium to full body, pleasant carbonation. Well, it’s not foul in any way, it’s just not my kind of amber. 130629

Dradt taster at RAM, Schaumburg. Brown beer with plenty of light edges. No foam after I’ve gotten to it on the sampler tray. American hop notes finally come through my stuffy nose. Yet it’s the malt that leaves the first impression on my tongue. Followed by a tangy caboose of bitterness. Pleasing fruity esters keep the hops from taking over.
