Ace Pear is made from a base of 100% pure, local apple juice. Pear essence is added to give the cider its distinctive pear taste; a taste so fresh and natural it is already proving as popular as its more traditional apple counterpart.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a wine glass.
The appearance had a glossed over orange yet somewhat clear in color. A fair amount of carbonated bubbles that were seen rising. There was no head.
The smell was like their apple cider but with a light pear to it.
The taste was basically the same as the nose.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability to some but I’m looking at this not so much so.
Overall, uh...just another cider to me.

Bottle at home.pours Chardonnay colored with pretty nice nose of pears. Tastes of pear, tart apple, butter, Chardonnay, and a touch artificial. Slight syrupy palate. But refreshing enough as a midnight treat.

Clear, finely bubbled gold with a few soapy bubbles for a head. Strangely, my first scent is cucumber....then pear and apple. Taste is sweet apple/pear. Bright, sharp, sweet. Tasty, crisp and refreshing.

Sampled at the 2013 Chicago Cider Summit. Pours a clear neon yellow with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has an earthy candied pear note with a bit of dryness. Flavor is sweet with pear and a bit of a dry, musty finish.

Bomber, listed on the label as Ace Perry Hard Cider, bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Pours clear pale gold with a ring of bubbles around the rim of the glass. Aroma is apples, pears, perfumey. Taste is tart and strong in apples and pears; finishes dry. Tastes good to me. Addendum: this cider started wearing out it’s welcome by the second glass, making me lower my overall score. Maybe it was meant to be shared, because 22 ounces is too much for one person.
