Windhoek Light is a true light beer, low in kilojoules and alcohol, but with extra hallertau hops for full bodied flavour. Brewed 100% pure using malted barley, hops, water and nothing else, it is a well-balanced light lager with a rewarding taste.

330ml bottle. Pours clear gold with no head. Drank this straight after the regular Windhoek. Just tastes like a watered down version.

Can shared by MisoW. Aroma lemony, corny. Pale straw colour. Taste is sourish, lemony. A bit astringent, though overall mild. Bad badness.

Pale straw. No head. Lightly grainy aroma and taste. A little bit watery but fuller than its size would have you expect. Fairly clean for a beer down here.

Lounge beer, Air France, OR Tambo, Jo’burg South Africa. Bright yellow color, huge fluffy white head. Scant hay aroma. Taste is smooth and slightly bitter. OK for a lite beer.

Very vague hint of bread in the aroma, and not much else. Decent head and darker yellow colour, not a bad looking beer, especially for a "light" brew. Tastes like bread, sort of a dark rye. No hints of alcohol (but what do you expect at 2.5%!) or anything else. Not much going on here. Almost tastes like a low-alcohol, like in the 0% range.

(Bottle 34 cl) Clear, pale golden with a dense and lacing white head. Mashy aroma. Light in body, a little malt, a little cardboard and a surprisingly well hopped finish. 030508

Can (from gold-digger MoritzF): Pale golden colour, big fluffy head that slowly diminishes; faint, but fresh hoppy nose, distinctive traces of sweet malt; light sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied; longer, slightly bitter-sweet finish, a bit watery. A good thirst quencher, nothing really unpleasant detectable....

(can) Clear pale golden colour with a frothy white medium head. Moderately sweet grainy and doughy aroma. Malty and hoppy taste, light bodied; very unpleasant metallic and bitter finish and aftertaste.

Pale yellow. Thin, sweetish malta aroma, not much body. About what you can expect from a 2.0% lager from a desert country...
