Our Imperial IPA is bigger and more balanced than its little brother, Ruud Awakening IPA, with a stronger malt presence and increased hopping rate. Mild caramel malt character and plenty of Pacific Northwest hops. The Imperial IPA is part of our Brewer’s Reserve Series.

Shared with Farees. Appearance: almost clear golden with a white head. Aroma: piney, malty, bold. Taste: along the same lines, a lot of candied oranges. A bit boozy. Finishes with noticeable bitterness. Overall: good old school thing.

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham
Cloudy amber color with small head. Fruity caramel aroma, hoppy but a bit old, light sweat. Bold, full bodied, with moderately sweet malt and caramel flavor; strong bitterness, still some hop resins and fruitiness.
I would really like to try it fresh.

med amber color, lots of caramel and citrusy. Very bitter but body isn’t so heavy . This is your standard PNW IIPA though certainly doesn’t take me anywhere special.

Pour is a hazy orange with an average white head. Aroma is on the sweeter side with fresh citrusy hops. Flavor is again sweet honey malts up front then comes your citrus/pine like west coast hops. Not a total hop bomb with the sweeter malt used but this just makes it into the solid category with a decent hoppy backbone.
