From the old English for Godiva (“Gift of God”), Coventry’s most famous daughter, this brown ale is brewed with roasted Chestnuts and is generously hopped with English First Gold & Bramling Cross and conditioned on French Oak. A complex ale with a firm malt backbone.

Cask at Churchkey. Pours hazy brown, with a few large bubbles for a head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, earth. Medium body. Taste is nutty, with a bit of vanilla. Decent.
