On tap at zeitgeist. Pint. $4.50. 1 finger head. Fades to nothing but a think coffee colored line. Black. Amber edges. Mild nuttiness and dark malts. Some vanilla. On the nose. Taste is roasted almost effervescent. Porter taste with more smoke and Oakiness. Solid carbonation. Medium body.

Aroma is light with some berries and hints of roasted malt. Flavour has roasted malt, some coffee and licorice. Quite empty and a bit watery finish with lingering roastiness. Also some hops. Easy-going, I like the roastiness here.

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. It pours a creamy beige head of fingerthick size over a more or less pitch black body. Some lacings too. Roasted malts, a touch of coffee and a faint vegetal hint in the aroma. The flavor is mostly roasted and coffee-ish, both initially and in the end. Smooth, yet a bit flat, medium body, dry. A sort of unusual beer, but nice indeed. 110528

Bottle: Poured a dark color lager with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of lightly roasted malt notes with some caramel and light black chocolate notes. Taste is also a mix between some light caramel malt with subtle notes of chocolate and light dry bitter finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well doe for the style with great drinkability and complexity ratio.
