Deep coppered and amber coloured body with a tan head, about one to two centimetres tall. Aroma of crisp stale hops without any real bitterness or pungency, also showing some funky sugars, a touch of light biscuity and earthy malt and only a touch of citrus. Light-bodied; Strong funky and stale malt flavours that dominate up front with biscuits, stale yeast, grain, earth and some pungency that only shows a touch of hop bitterness at the end that is much grassier and herbal than I expected and most IPAs. Aftertaste shows the grassiness, a lot of malt, some funk and a lot of yeast flavours with nothing really cohesive or reminiscent of a traditional IPA. This tastes more like a stale APA with even more of a malt vibe, and not in a good way. Overall, a pretty underwhelming beer from any front, but too much malts, not enough complexity, some off-flavours and a bite of grass makes this passable for enjoyers of any style, but especially IPAs. I sampled this stubby twelve ounce bottle (that was the best part of this one) purchased from BeerTopia in Omaha, Nebraska on 05-February-2018 for US$1,67 sampled in my hotel room here in Omaha, Nebraska two days later on 07-February-2018.

Bottle. A- Light, subtle citrus, slight candy, slightly hoppy, grassy, wheat. A- Orange color, slightly hazy liquid, minimal off white head. T- Bitter, wheat, spices, grassy. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- I was hoping for a great beer with all the comments of a Belgian White as that is my favorite style. This didn’t quite do it for me. It was like a subtle bad Belgian white mixed with a mediocre IPA. Didn’t seem very balanced and just lacked so much.

Disappointing IPA. This one had some weird spice flavors (almost like a witbier at times) and a lot of grassiness, but not true to the IPA style at all.

Bottle - turbid dark orange - thick, soapy lace - nose of citric and woody hops, along with light esters (banana, bubblegum) from the yeast, some dustiness - carbonation is very full and kind of abrasive in the mouth - flavor is initially very dry, with moderate woody hops, medium bitterness, grapefruit pith - a light sweetness and mild esters late, followed by cobweb yeastiness - interesting - more like a hoppy Belgian ale than an IPA.

Bottle to glass. This is a mixture of lots of things that just don’t work. Slightly oxidized leads to wet cardboard aroma. Hazy orange. Some banana from the yeast. Tastes like an aged homebrew.

Bottle. Hazy amber body. Fizzy. off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Aroma of pine, resin, leafy hops, lemon, grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Bitterness atop chemical flavor along with lemon, flowers. pine. Grainy and a bit boozy. Long lingering bitterness which is nice, but the off-flavors come along with it.

12 oz. bottle, $3 ea. at brewpub. Bought it in July, so let’s rate this one NOW. Opens and pours with a nice citrus and spicy hop nose. Cloudy, dark IPA orange. Kicks up a big head of foam, but with big bubbles that make it go down in a hurry. Some Cascades, I think. Can’t claim enough knowledge of English hops, but they’re there. Taste has a big hop flavor, somewhat combining both green hops and dried hops, resulting in a mown hay sensation. Sticky malts seem to hold more citrus than the hops once on the tongue. Bitter all the way down, the way a hop head likes it. May even be a tad off balance.
