Bottle. Man this is a good beer. Not much on hoppy beers but when they’re made right it makes it worth while. This one is perfectly balanced. Just the right amount of malt makes it great. Perfect amber color. Just great all the way around.
Not a favourite, flavor profile falls short.

Notes from 1/09/2009. Hard drive data scraping is well worth the money, let me tell you. Priceless family photos, rebates & receipts, insurance forms, music, nah... kb after kb of old beer reviews. That's what it's all about. :D Thanks to bboven, whether these beers sit well with me or not. Rounded pint glass. Unusual, lop-sided, dough-colored milky head. Uniform lacing over a dirty amber, chill-hazed, iced tea-like body. Caramel & spicy/tangy orange hop notes. A little dry bread crust & heavier then expected alcohol. Taste isn't as big as the nose suggests. Slightly resinous/rindy hops, honestly in balance with the doughy malty. A lingering spicy citrus sizzles along with the enthusiastic carbonation. Astringency is at a minimum. Easy.

Copper color with tan foam. Malt aroma. Sweet caramel flavor that quickly finishes with medium hop bitterness and crispness. A little floral or earthy. More hoppy than malty sweet.

Bottle from Harris Teeter, Hampstead, North Carolina. Dark clear amber with a thin head. Has a strong hoppy tropical fruitiness.
