Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt with soft Szechuan peppers and liquorice. A herbal laurel touch. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Body is medium with too heavy carbonation. Enjoyable, soft pepper and laurel/liquorice.

Bottle @ home shared by buddy. Black with a large offwhite head. Smells roasty, coffee# sweet, some red fruits. Tastes roasty, coffee, red fruits. I dislike the carbonation. Medium body.

Shared @ Koelschtrinker's tasting. Smooth fresh floral beginning. Easy to drink with a moderate sourness, tart in the aftertaste with fruity spicy hints. Nice.

Bottle shared with Koelschtrinker. A very dark brown beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of pepper, herbs, red malt. Taste of black pepper, herbs, coffee, mild roasted malt.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een snel verdwijnende schuimkraag. Het heeft een peperige geur. De smaak is zoet, gebrande mout, drop en peper.

330ml bottle. Pours black, large frothy pale tan head. Aroma has honey, spiced pepper, darkened malt. High carbonation. Taste presents light roast, pepper and honey seem in balance, though again quite light, and the roast seems to take the charge. Carbonation is quite off-putting. Generally ok.

Bottle at home. Dark brown with light tan head. Sweet roasted and toasted malts, herbal essence, mint, anise, laurel, licorice, cola, black seaweed, ink, charcoal. Moderate sweet and bitter, bit umami. Under medium body and soft carbonation. Bit thin and watery.
