India Pale Ale’s are turning into hoppy monsters, but our Iowa Pale Ale is milder and about balance. It has enough bitterness to match the maltiness provided by the pale malt base and gets its citrus zing from extensive dry-hopping with Cascade hops. This beer was first made in a few small batches as a summer seasonal in 2003. The response was so incredibly positive that is has worked its way into a year-round beer and became a favorite to many.

Light orange color. Mild hop and aroma and flavor, making this a very drinkable ipa, if not especially flavorful or aromatic.

Received in trade from tedpeer, thanks for the opportunity. Pours a slightly hazy deep amber color with a smallish bubbly off white head that sticks around for a bit. Smells of "C" hops. Nice citrusy, grapefruit aroma. Slight soapy aroma in the background as well. Some caramel malt hidden too. Taste shows more of the malt with some caramel coming out and the hops fading into the background a bit. Citrus bitterness lingers in the finish. Medium body, Crisp carbonation. Decent session brew. I liked it a lot but the soapy aroma threw me a little bit.

Majestic thanks to Probiere for getting me this big rude on style IPA!. Creamy thin head. Gunk on bottom of bottle. Rather thick and viscous looking in the glass. Sweey smell, but not piny nor perfumy. First taste is big IPA and malt blast, wew. Not much here for a lager lover to enjoy! Some welcomed CO2 sizzle mellows the plate. Long bitter medicinal linger. Disgustingly on style. Roto-tiller taste bud maximus! Thanks for allowing me the chance to try this and no thanks for ruining my taste buds, heheh!

On draught at the Millstream Brewhaus in Eastern Iowa airport. This beer is a clear bright copper color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Thick rings of lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops and sweet malt. Medium body with flavors of hops, citrus fruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter hops that lingers for a bit. Above average overall.

12oz shorty bottle. Deep burgundy-brown with a big, foamy off-white head. Sweet hop-laced dark malt aroma. As advertised, has a touch more of a malty side than your typical IPA. Earthy, with a solid bitterness that balances out the thick, creamy, almost brown-ale like malt body. Very sessionable stuff while still retaining some quality depth. Dark IPA.
