Backlog. Well this is one of low lows. Just watery and not much else going on. Some light grain and grass I guess.

One of my favorites from the Plank Road Brewery. 24 oz can, hot sweaty day, yeah it was a bit watery and corny but it worked.

24 oz can. Aroma is champagne-like while head lasts but then morphs to smell of stale beer. Appearance is clear, pale yellow with 3-finger white foamy crackling head that dissipates quickly with negligible lacing. Taste is pretty absent up front with lasting light malty finish. Palate is very light bodied with thin mouth feel and strong carbonation dominates, which also diminishes whatever taste there is. Overall, as noted elsewhere, the biggest thing going for this beer is its extremely low price ($.99). Between the carbonation and a low temperature, you can pretty much get rid of the taste and have a quick buzz with the 5.5% ABV. Not objectionable and highly drinkable on a really hot day. Preferable at a bar-b-que to Bud, Miller, etc.

Sigh, well, here we go.
Various times this has been poured into pint glasses and other times it was in a pilsener, and honestly, there isn’t any difference.
The appearance was a light yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that died within less than ten seconds. There wasn’t any lacing.
The smell had typical corn/rice adjuncts and that was it.
The taste was overly sweet and it didn’t have any aftertaste nor finish.
On the palate, it sat exceptionally light and had a very good sessionability about it. The carbonation was actually pretty good for the style as it wasn’t harsh nor smooth.
Overall, in my opinion, this is basically just another American Adjunct Lager, but I guess one could pound these on a hot summer’s day if they wanted to.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein hell goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch ganz leicht malzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr wässrig, minimal malzig, getreidig, ganz leicht herb.

Appearance: Clear light golden with a medium sized white head that dissipates to a ring, some light lacing
Aroma: Pale malts, honey and sweet
Taste: Pale malts, grassy, grainy with a bitter finish
Not bad really, better than I thought it would be.

Originally rated March 2005. My parents brought me back this stuff from North Carolina. I had asked for Rogue products. Pours a golden lager colour with a shitty head. The aroma is discusting. Malt and something bad. Slight bitterness in the end of the mouth, then smooth-nothing. Says Premium beer. Not too good.
