Murky, brown-orange, filmy head. Aroma is peach, grass, spice. The spice ramps up a bit in the flavour. Bitter hop and sweet fruit. It’s lively in the mouth and there’s a slight sourness. Really nice and quite refreshing when chilled.

Bottle from Drank van de Meisjes, gyle no 116 dated 161215 BB Dec 16, large sample. Slight hazy golden color, big rocky head. Aroma of pine, citrus, pineapple, slight malty note. In taste, medium bitterness, melon, pineapple, some malty sweetness, slight alcohol. Bit dry in the finish, bitterness still kicking in. Quite powerful in taste, but aroma might not be as strong as it was when fresh. Still very decent after half a year.

0.33 l bottle from ’Slijterij Paauwenburg’, bottled in December 2015. Minimally hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Fruity-resiny, slightly herbal aroma of mango, orange, spruce and some honey. Sweetish, already slightly bitter, fruity-resiny taste of mango, orange, some honey and spruce, followed by a rather long, medium bitter, slightly resiny and a bit herbal finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Decent stuff, quite juicy, but not as outstanding as expected. But then it’s also four months old again.

Bottle split at the level 42 tasting, thanks to Danny, 09/03/16. Golden orange with a well appointed off white covering. Nose is citric wine gums, bitter orange, straw, grassy, light pine, mandarin. Taste comprises orange pith, pine resin, tangerine, straw, grapefruit, toasted malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying with semi aggressive hop bitterness and a light mineral chase. Solid IPA ... well balanced and drinkable.

330 ml bottle from Firma Bier, bottled 16/12/15.
Orange, hazy body, with a big, stable, creamy, lacing, off-white head.
Juicy aroma of citrus, passion fruit, mango, orange, some grass, subtle pine, biscuit.
Tastes of grapefruit, resin, citrus, passion fruit, orange zest, spicy herbs, biscuit, subtle alcohol.
Medium, creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, medium dry, alcohol warming, zesty, piney, spicy, herbal, peppery, a bit resinous.
Very nice. A medium heavy and pretty warming IPA, with a really lovely, juicy nose. Taste is a bit too herbal/spicy for me, which affects the crispness, but then really drinkable for 8%. Overall a tasty, characterful IPA, while not among my favourite ones I’ve had from England.

20th February 2015
Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy pale malts bring a light sweetness. Hops are pithy orange and grapefruit with good hop spice and pine. Some floral bitterness and then more pine and hop spice before a light semi dry finish. Spicy fruity linger. Nice.

Bottled 16.12.2015. orange quite hazy color, medium big white head. smells of tropical fruits, lemon grass, lychee, herbs, lightly citric, nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, lemon grass, mango, lychee, light pine apple, some herbs, light sweetness, light resin, lightly soapy, finishes light to medium bitter and a bit dry with notes of lemon grass, light resin and some tropical fruits. nice one, lemon grass notes are kinda dominant, which I am not that much a fan of, but overall very enjoyable beer. actually I like this better when it warms up a bit (+0.1)
