Backlog, from notes. On tap @ the brewpub, 12 May 2001. Roasted malts, with a light sweet taste and no bitter in the finish, more like a porter than a stout imho.

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6.5
[At GABF 2004] A red-brown beer with a collapsing orange head. The aroma is very sweet roasted with notes of chocolate. The flavor is somewhat sour - is it because of the low alcohol content? but it has a nice roastyness and a dry woody end.
