Tap @ Mig og Ølsnedkeren. Pours black with a small brown head. Aromas of roasty malts, dark chocolate and some bitter fresh hops. Taste is hoppy, roasty, citrussy, chocolate, orange peel, malty.

BKL2016. Darkest brown , offwhite cream Fairly roasted entry, grainy, orange peel, buckwheat Coffe, dry roast base on palate, aggressive green hop counterpoint. Conifers-name is well picked. Strong roast finish.

Smagsprøve på Ølbaren i Elmegade: brunsort med flot skum der varer. Meget røsted aroma og smag med blød mundfylde og afstemt eftersmag. Dette er en kraftig stout, ikke en black ipa, til det mangler den citurs/fyrrenålstoner. Dog en rigtig god øl.

Tap at the Lord Nelson, Copenhagen. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin off white head. The aroma is smoky malt, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry mineral malt, floral grassy hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Draft at Lord Nelson. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roast, caramel, light fruity hops and dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Halmtorvet 29 c, Copenhagen, Denmark 1700. [ As Gamma / Pirate Brew Black Forest ].Dark black brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, coffee, moderate hoppy, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, hoppy, malt & hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20160122]

Black color with big beige head. Aroma is espresso, coffee, not so hoppy, maybe a bit cat piss hops. Taste is coffee, dry, slightly hoppy. Bitter finish. Not bad.
