Aroma of malt, caramel, pine, light resin, walnut, hops. Flavour is malty and hoppy with a strong bitter finish. Body is a bit thin, slightly watery. Otherwise nice drinkable malty APA.

Bottle 330ml. [ As Pampus Maren ].Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasred - caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, fruity, citrus notes, light to moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to light moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft - fizzy. IMO way to over carbonated. [20140929]

[9/29/14] Bottle at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Hazy orange-amber with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma of overripe tropical fruits, citrus and yeast. Mildly sweetish flavor, with yeast, fruity hops and a bitter finish, slightly astringent. Medium-bodied, over-carbonated. Quite refreshing.

Bottle from Biernavigatie, BB March 2015, large sample, served in an Oersoep tulip. Almost clear golden to orange color, short frothy slight off-white head. Aroma of bit sweet malts, slight biscuity, fruity hop, bit citrus, caramel, toffee, tannines. Soft bitter taste, some toffee, bit dry, bit sweet. Quite malty as well. As always with pale ale stuff from the Sallandse, they tried to get too much sugars from the mash, getting that dryish almost astringent tannines in the beer. Dont be so Dutch, spend some. The beer can only improve.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Clear orange to amber color. Uneven, sticky off white head. Aroma’s: fruity, flowery hops, with a slight malty sweetness and fruit retronasal. Flavor is moderate bitter with light malty sweetness as backbone. Light to medium bodied. Firm bitter finish with some grain. Bit of a discrepancy between aroma & flavor, but quite nice in the end.
