Bottle from vandeStreek bros, BB Autumn 2015, large sample. Hazy yellow to golden color, big frothy off-white head. Soft hoppy aroma, citrus, grapefruit, bit grassy, hint of pineapple and strawberry. Soft bitter taste, bit grainy malts, slight cookie. Bit thin (but not for the ABV), medium carbonation. Easy drinker, love to see more of these kinds of beers on tap in the bars around Utrecht.

Bottle split with Kenny in the special surprise room tasting, Amsterdam Inntel pre Borefts livener, 25/09/14. Clear light golden with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is light smoke, biscuit, spice, grain, straw. Taste comprises bitter citric peel, raw hop notes, grain, spice, hay. Medium body, fine carbonation with a little too much spritz, semi drying close. So very so - where are the hops ? Pap !

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of yeast, fruity, Belgian, melon, not very bright and fresh. Flavour is plastic, later just yeast, light malty, hoppy, not very bitter though, some citrus, quite fruity, light bitter finish. Light-bodied, never watery though. Not very clean, but OK.

Sligjtly hazy light golden with small white head. Lots of aromatic hops with grapefruit and soap. Light grains and some weird yeasty sourness. Strong biter finish. Light bodied with nice prickly carbonation. Smells pretty good but the taste is quite weird. Refreshing though.

Hazy yellow with thin wispy head. Plenty of malts in the aroma with some citrusy tones too. Nice to have a good maltiness in the flavour. The bitter hops balance it out well. Thin and light bodied but easy to drink and refreshing. Reminds me of some of the better British ’Golden Ales’.
