Bottle from Taniguchi. Big, fruity, floral nose, oranges, peaches and cream, a touch of strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, caramel. Complex nose indeed. Deep orange-brown with a low, fine, thick head. Sweet and fruity, citrus and stone. Very sweet, actually, too much, with a bitter finish. Somewhat soda-like. Interesting flavors but the syrupy sweetness puts me off.

(Bottle, Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 24 Aug 2014) Reddish amber colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, resin and caramel. Malty, hoppy taste with grapefruit, resin, dried apricots, orange peel and a generous citric bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Solid and tasty DIPA. Nice one.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. ABV is 8%, 99 EBU. Amber colour, low off-white head. Nice but fairly moderate aroma of American hops, a faint hint of smoke. The flavour is way too sweet and cloying, even the substantial bitterness can’t save it.

Dark orange. Small beige head. Aroma of cheap booze, liquorice bonbon and bitter citrus. Taste is only slightly better, with citrus and tropical fruits. Still with liqourice bonbon. Rather sweet. Unfresh with low drinkability.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Snifter. Hazy amber colour with a reddish tint - dark orange. Thin, off-white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, caramel, citrus, spruce, sweet fruits - almost marmalade. Some tangerine. Taste is lightly bitter. Full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and fruity with rich malts, pines, sweet fruits. Floral hops. Rather marmalade - fruity for a DIPA. Still a good bitterness, trough.
