Delicious, sweet, mild brown beer. Would be a perfect dessert beer with a cake or pie. dark brown with almost no head. Sweetness of prunes and raisins. Different style and unique to the Netherlands....

33cl bottle @home. Thin off white head. Clear dark amber pour. Nice enough but a bit too sweet. No discernable bitterness.

My 3.5%ABV version came in a brown 33cl bottle with a best before date of Jun 2011: drank 17 Jan 2011. Poured into a Westmalle chalice: initially it looked good, a clear bright, yet dark ruby red body sat below a tanned head, the head sadly fell away to just a collar very quickly. No smell at first, then as it warmed a sugary, sickly candy aroma arrived. Very sweet tasting and with next to no body depth, a watery, malty syrup, with a nasty metalic aftertaste. Oh dear me, this is one poor beer!

Draught in Maastricht. Light mahogany with a thin off white head. Bland aroma with hint of fruit. Very sweet which dominated the flavour so nothing else came through

Bottle: Clear, mahagony coloured, bigger stable tanned head; sweetish-caramelly nose with a molecular toasty&metallic touch; light sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied as expected; slightly lingering sweetish dark-malty finish. Sweet and thin - according to the style - but drinkable though......

Bottled. A deep red-brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has notes of fruit and caramel - very sweet. The flavor is very sweet with notes of caramel, straw, and malt, leading to a sweet finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.

Bottle, 3.5%. Dusty aroma. Clear dark red brown colour. The flavour is mildly sweet. Not sour at all. A little artificial sweetener taste in the finish.
