Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, chilli peppers. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and nicely spicy, with a fairly bitter finish. More balanced than the infamous Pepperspray Porter, which I also loved. Quite tasty!

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of couverture, a touch of coffee, doughy yeasty overtones, whiffs of chili and black pepper. Taste is roasty, chocolately dark malty and peppery spicy, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, some coffee, a touch of liquorice, notes of chili and black pepper with slowly accumulating hotness, subtle fruity hints of blueberry. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft, gradually burning palate, soft carbonation. Overall well controlled spiciness, not overly complex on the malty side. OK.

Tap @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours dark brown, almost black with a thin brown head. Aromas of smoke, dark sweet fruits, almost dusty notes, raisins and slight chili. Taste is very smokey, almost meaty, some chili and dark fruit sweetness, bitterness and some coffee dryness. Slight chili bite but not too harsh.

Tap @ Borefts 2014. Deep dark brown color. Caramel and a hint of pepper in the aroma. Caramelly sweet peppery flavor, well integrated and not dominant peppers. Just a little pepper burn in the aftertaste.

330ml Bottle - Black in colour. Rich aroma with liquorice and molasses. Roasted malt, coffee and liquorice can be detected at first before the chilli leaves a warming sensation in the finish.

Bouteille 33cl, batch# Y17J001, BB 15/09/2017. Brune foncée, col léger café au lait. Arôme est malté, pâle, chocolaté avec qcq éléments grillés en rétro, effet épié reste assez modeste pour les piments les plus forts, petite note de fumé en rétro. Palais est malté, pâle, caramel, chocolaté avec léger effet épicé sans arrivé au point du super épicé pour ces piments Scorpion. Effet un peu mélasse, c'est épais en bouche avec un fini sirupeux, sucre résiduel. Amertume minime en fin de bouche sur petite note citronnée.

Draught at KØ17. Mild liquorice aroma. Black colour, seems cloudy. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is bready and sweetish with a hint of smoke and perhaps chili. The green taste of chili fruit seems clearer than the mild burn.

330 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of roasted malts, dry chocolate and burnt pepper. Flavors of peaty smoke, powdery dark chocolate, powdery roasted malts and roasted pepper. A nice afterburn but overall fairly well balanced for a chili beer. Well done! Beauty.
