Zwart bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is krachtig, bitter, en kruidig met iets van chocolade, rook en een lichte pittige peper. Mooie combinatie.

Draft @ Inferno Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and chili aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and caramel flavor with spicy chili hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate and chili finish.

Tap at NBFD. Black with barely any head. Lots of bourbon, chocolate, sweet malts, light spices, soft chilies, toffee, vanilla, light hazelnuts. Medium sweet and light bitter. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation and slick feel. Earlier Rating: 12/12/2014 Total Score: 3.8Bottle. Black with medium sized beige head with some big bubbles. Big roasted malts, musty nuts, touch of pepper, but mostly the heat and not much aroma. Light bitter taste with light underlying sweetness and hot pepper finish. Light ash and cocoa pudding. Decent beer, but the pepper is only some heat and doesn’t add much to the (mediocre) aroma. Still a decent enough beer. 3.5 New version brewed at Uiltje. More apple, chocolate, and a lot less heat. Now the beer comes through a lot better, which makes me like it a lot more.

Draft at Nederlands Bieren Festival, (Winter) Delft. Black with a ring tan head. Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, oak, dark chocolate, light fruity notes, caramel and fudge. Flavour is heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with light chili heat in the finish soft carbonation.Earlier Rating: 9/9/2014 Total Score: 3.4Bottle shared. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of fruity chillis, roast, caramel, chocolate and soy. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

(Draught at Uiltje Craft Beer Bar, Haarlem, 15 Sep 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, cacao and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with notes of black coffee, liquorice, cacao, black rye bread, a touch of smoke, a gentle chilli heat and a generous roasty bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well made porter, with a gentle chilli burn. Very nice.

Tasting bij mij thuis. Ik ben dan toch benieuwd hoe dit zonder peper zou smaken. Maar desondanks vind ik t geslaagd, heb mindere peperspray bieren gedronken! Morgen fijn naar de w.c. :-x Backlog from 2014/12/12.
