Unser SCHUMACHER ALT (4,6 Vol.-%) ist ein würziges Vollbier, das nach alter Tradition gebraut wird. Die obergärige Spezialität besticht durch Ihren schlanken Geschmack mit einer leicht malzigen Note und die erfrischende Wirkung reiner Gärungskohlensäure.
Die edlen Aromahopfen aus der Hallertau und dem Tettnang sorgen für die feine Bittere und das abgerundete Aroma. Und eine glänzende Bernsteinfarbe sowie der kräftige Schaum lassen schon auf den ersten Blick erkennen: Bei unserem Altbier wurde das Zusammenspiel von Hopfen, Malz und traditioneller Schumacher-Hefe perfektioniert.

1l swing top bottle. Hazy dark orange body with a thin yolk head. Aroma of caramel, toast, orange zest and floral hops. Taste of caramel, orange zest, toast, bread and floral hops. Starts sweet but the hops show up in the finish. Very nice alt.

Aus dem Growler im 2018-04 getrunken. Ein sehr typisches malziges Alt mit eine ganz sanften Honignote im Hintergrund. Süffig! Danke Erzengel für den Growler!

29-12-17 // draft at the brewery, Schumacher Stammhaus. Clear amber brown, fine-pored foamy head. Very well balanced Alt. Mild sweet caramelly maltness and a solid hop bitterness.

Gravity keg at the source in Düsseldorf (Germany). Amber clear with orange highlights, medium beige head. Nose: round roast a bit smoky, presence of firm caramel, cherry hints. Mouth: frizzy carbo, malty, caramel is not predominant, carbo covers the rest. Decently bittered.

Pours clear, bit lighter than most alts, but still quite clear , caramelly darker amber. Foam is rather fluffy, but very persistant. Smell is bit weak. Mild metallic notes and malts. Taste is full, round, caramelly malts all the way. Very subtile notes of hops. Refreshing and easy drinkable.

1l Bottle. Hazy dark amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, bready, floral, nutty. Taste is toffee, caramel, nutty, with a slightly bitter finish that is a touch metallic. Medium carbonation. Very nice!

1L bottle from trade with Erzengel. Many thanks! Pours a hazy chestnut dark brown, with large off-white head. Aroma is nutty caramel. Taste is bittersweet, caramel munich malts, floral spice with a herbal bitter hop bite. 2 months past the drink-by date, despite being bottled 3 months ago, and still tasting quite fresh. Great alt.

Tap @ Drinkers Pub Eindhoven, medium sample. Clear amber color, short frothy head. Aroma of caramel, bit toast, slight herbal, bit hoppy. Soft sweet in taste, bit bitter. Decent altbier.

On tap at ’Schumacher Stammhaus’. Clear, copper with a medium large, frothy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite grassy aroma of caramel, nuts, some straw and a touch of bread. Sweetish-malty, quite grassy and a little fruity taste of caramel, nuts, straw and a touch of bread, followed by a short, medium bitter, a little dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
