Jopen Jacobus RPA is een Rye (rogge) Pale Ale. Amberkleurig en fruitig bitter door het gebruik van Amerikaanse hopsoorten. Roggemout geeft het bier een karaktervolle smaak.
Het bier is vernoemd naar de voormalige Jacobskerk (beschermheilige Jacobus). Jopen heeft deze kerk in gebruik genomen als brouwerij, grand café en restaurant en omgedoopt tot Jopenkerk Haarlem.

RB Odense January tasting. Copper with a big off-white head. Malty aroma with a touch of fruity hops. Sweetish malty flavour with a spicy rye note and a touch of citrus

Bottle @ Odense Smagning, 1st Gathering Janaur 2013. Pours dark unclear brown with a creamy head. Caramel, bread, mild yeast and hops. Quite malty. Citrus hop note in the finish.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy dark amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Lemon tea aroma with underlying caramel malt notes. Taste is citrusy and bitter hoppy.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with an off-white head. Rustic, burned caramellish aroma. Medium body, sweet burned caramel, quite fruity and aromatic hoppy without being all that bitter. Very enjoyable. 271212

Bottle. Dark amber/brown with big tan head. Aroma is malt, hop, fruit and citrus. Flavour is malt, caramel, citrus, hop, fruit, little sweet, medium bitter, rye and a little dry.

33cl bottle. Orangish colour with an off-white head, good lasting, moderate lacing. Aroma is moderate hoppy with floral and citrus hints. Flavor is floral with a moderate bitterness, some honey and citrus notes. Carbonation and body are medium.
