Headbanger is a strong and distinctive Imperial IPA with a solid malty backbone, and a blend of seven American hops that pack a solid punch of pungency and aroma. We’ve partnered with our friends from a crossover thrash band Tester Gier to come up with this beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Lior D. Hazy golden. Aroma of weird leafy and slightly farty hops. Flavor has sweet honey-ish malt, and bitter leafy hops. Medium-bodied. Not good.

Barwa złota, zamglone, piana szybko opadająca, W aromacie słabo wyczuwalne owoce egzotyczne natomiast mocno wyczuwalny karmel. W smaku również bardzo podobnie. Gorycz na średniowysokim poziomie, nasycenie na niskim. Piłem to piwo podczas SBF’16 i wydawało mi się lepsze niż teraz z butelki, cóż widać że kiepsko się starzeje.

Trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier. Geschmack intensiv hopfig, nass hopfig, grasig, grapefruit. Geschmack trocken, grasig bitter, Aprikosen.

Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, semi dry and crispy. Sweet malts, fair bit of that lactose like sweetness. A little cream. Mild hop spice. Crystallised orange fruits, touch of peel. Piney finish, semi dry. Not bad but a bit heavy on the milky sweetness.

Pours slightly hazy, reddish amber, toasted top. Aroma has some hop skunk, not my favourite sensation. I wonder if that is from the selection of hops or is the hop profile already changed - although there is more than three more months left. It does not feel overly fresh though, maybe these beers have real short shelf life and should be drunk within weeks from bottling? Taste reveals more of the same, I think this has also something to do with the hop choice, need to learn what hops are creating this. There is some intense bitterness but that is not really a pleasant one, at least not for me. Heavy and alcoholic, not that easy to drink. Fruitiness is there, also malt body - but the combination feels sort of sticky and this directionless bitterness really wears me out. Sorry.

Draught @ Hoppiness Beer&Food, Chmielna 27/31 lok.76, Warszawa, Poland 00-021. [ As Kingpin Headbanger ].Clear medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, orange - citrus, fruity, hop butter. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, hop bitter, fruity, hop butter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160204]

Bottle shared by Cuso. Thanks! Intense citrusy resiny fruity and slightly grassy hops aroma. Clear orange colour, moderately stable moderate head. Taste reveals unpleasant alcoholic burn as well as slightly harsh high bitterness. Lightly grassy. Light heavy body and almost moderate carbonation only reinforce the rather poor drinkability. Overall good though.

Botle from 7.schod. Amber golden golden color with medium white head. Nice citrus hoppy aroma with caramel. Taste, citrus hops, grapefruit, zest, pines, caramel malt. Strong alcohol which disturbs me a bit.
