Witkap-Pater Stimulo (export name: Abbey Single Ale) is a refreshing gold-colored beer of high fermentation and with re-fermentation on the bottle - thus a living beer with evolving taste. Poured with care you get a rich, white and stable foam collar with a creamy structure and sticking to the glass. You can smell the aromatic hop flowers of Erembodegem, a local natural product. You can also smell a strong ferment typically for the Witkap-Pater. Their are no other taste-makers used. During degustation you get a taste sensation starting with a soft mouth filling taste, passing in the a refreshing taste and ending with a tasty hop-bitter after taste.

Tasted as Witkap Pater Stimulo from tap and bottle. Golden coloured session beer since 1981, a (’false’) abbey blonde, with a dense, cream white head and a malty and fruity aroma, yeasty, sweetish with grassy hop bitterish finish, smooth and quenching. Sometimes sourish due to infection, but they seem to have this under control now. Exhales the typical straightforwardness and ’old school style’ typified by this quiet brewery.

Flaska från beernavigator. En gyllenfärgad dryck med högt krämigt vitt skum. Stor jästkaraktär, lite källare och kryddor. Krämig, frisk, örtig beska, surdegsbröd och jäst. Rustikt, friskt och trevlig smakbild.

Wow, this is very very yeasty and lively, comes out of the bottle. Fruity and sugary taste, with some hop bitters. Good.

Nose is dry, yeasty, medicinal slight dust. Taste is bone dry, medicinal, slight herbs yeast, straw, pepper, vodka, and an appealing sweet note. Mouthfeel a little thin. An interesting beer, that is remarkable for is dryness.

Flasche (als Witkap-Pater Stimulo, 33 cl) vom Hopduvel, Gent; 10 Monate im heimischen Keller gelagert. - Goldgelb mit leichtem Grünstich, wenig trüb, reichlich weißer Schaum. - Milde aber frische zitronig-grasige Hopfennase. - Für ein Blonde überraschend aromatisch gehopft, mit zitronig-herben Hopfenaromen, die auch die (zu lange) Lagerung gut überstanden haben. Schlankes helles Malz. Stark rezent, etwas dünnes Mundgefühl. Zitronig-grasiger, herber Abgang, mäßig bitterer Nachtrunk. - Etwas blasses aber sehr ordentliches Blonde, eine Ausnahmeerscheinung unter den vielen fruchtig-süßen Einheits-Blondes.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes goldenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch hefig, malzig süß, leicht würzig. Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.
