Vintage 2011. Sour nose. Deep dark ruby brown colour, small frothy tan head, recedes quickly, almost no lacing. Aroma balsamico vinegar, sour cherries, wood, leather, alcohol, hint of cocoa. Taste medium sour, light sweet, oak, sour cherries, dark balsamico, candy sugar. Medium body, sticky texture, velvetty mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Aftertaste moderate sour, tartness, bit woody, sticky sweet notes in the finish, a complex and well-balanced Vlaams Bruin, excellent stuff.
