Bottle shared during the return journey of the Isle of Wight Jolly. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy head. The nose holds lightly biscuity pale bread and generic citrus. Medium sweet flavor with simple pale, bready malts, white sugar, pine needles. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sugary pale malt finish with restrained hop character, nips of bitter hay. Nothing special.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Vova’s place. Thanks Vova. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of stale hops and a bit of graininess. Flavor has some sweetish malt, a caramelly hint, somewhat stale hops and a moderately bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle on the IOW Jolly, homeward train tasting, thanks to Leighton, deputy Bespin administrator, 24/08/14. Hazed golden orange with moderate off white spotting/edgework. Nose is orange pith, toasted malt, straw, mandarin, bready notes. Taste comprises citric tinged straw, touch of pine resin, bitter orange, mandarin. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate IPA, Hoppage is rather on the conservative side but a drinnkable number none the less.

Bottle - Sweet pale malts and some light fruit. Lots of floaties in gold liquid with a decent white head. Nice sweet fruit and nice bitterness throughout.

Bottle thanks to Leighton on the IoW Jolly. It pours murky dirty gold with a medium white head. The nose is earthy, orange sherbet, candied peel and tangerine. The taste is bitter-sweet orange peel, sherbet, earthy, spice, dirt, spice, acrid bitterness and some alcohol with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. A bit rough around the edges.

Lightly hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry, crispy. Light dry airy malt. Little dry yeast. Spicy floralness, whisper of soap. Light dry finish. Strong bitter linger. Messy but just about okay.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Mitra Tiel. Hazy golden yellow with a big white head. Lots of citrushops in the aroma. A tad of sweetness in the taste but bitter and hoppy enough to justify the IPA label. Nice IPA

33 cl bottle. Orange color, cloudy. Off white head, not much. Aroma’s: fresh hops, flowery, citrus, light resin, light malt. Citrus, almost acidic, and some malty sweetness retronasal. Flavor is bitter with a light malty sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Finishes full on bitter, even somewhat ashy, earthy. Nice!
