One of the limited Borefts 2016 specials. Translates as... well, this is a hard one... Framboos is the Dutch word for raspberry. But 'boos' also means 'angry'. Framblij is a non existing word in Dutch. But 'blij' means 'happy'. So the little joke is the contradiction between boos & blij. Hopefully it's still kind of funny explained like this. If not: just enjoy the beer! 100 Kilo's of local raspberries found their way into this fruity stout (and clogged the filters afterwards, but we forgave them).

Bottle at home. Foamy as hell. Aroma is raspberry, roosvicee, darkish bready malt, hint of chocolate in the finish. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, bit too heavily carbonated. A bit of a disappointment this one, I had hoped for more body, chocolate and raspberry. The carbonation is a bit annoying as well.

Tap @ Borefts. Amber color. Raspberry, yeasty notes, malt and oak in the flavor. Soft raspberry aroma. Decent, nothing more.

Bottle @ home. 2 years old. Opens with a loud hiss. Deep dark red colour with floating particles. Big rocky dirty-ish off white head. Strong aroma of raspberry, sweet &sourish. Retronasal: fruity, light sour, light perfumey, not sweet. Flavour is, ehm maybe light bitter, fruity? Medium bodied. High carbonation at first. Light bitter chocolatey finish. Weird.

Bottle - Raspberry and soft cocoa. Jet copper brown with a rich beige head. Raspberry and light cocoa. Not very dark tasting, raspberry comes through but dark roast would have been nice.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a medium beige head. Aroma is very pith, with a somewhat oxidized raspberry character, and earthy cocoa. Flavour is similar, with cocoa, raspberry and lots of yeast. Highly carbnonated, with oxidation on the finish. Lacking depth or complexity. Not too good.

330ml bottle. Murky, brown colour with yeast hunks and huge, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, fruity raspberry aroma, mild chocolately background, hints of milk chocolate. Taste is dry, grassy hoppy and fruity, hints of raspberry. Way overcarbonated.

330 ml Bottle. pours with a dark amber color and a very nice off-white head. Very large head..... Lots of yeast in the glass. The nose is very nice: lots of raspberries, dark chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Taste is bitter-fruity, once again raspberries, dried fruits, coffee. Some malts and yeast. nice bitterness and a long lasting finish. Medium bodied.

33cl bottle. Best before 16.08.2017. The beer poured dark amber with a huge head that never settles. That is some heavy raspberry aroma in here, chocolate covered sweet raspberries. Some cherry like notes. More chocolate and roasty in flavor, some citrusy hops as well. Due to the carbonation it tickles your gum, making it hard to drink more than a few sips a time. Nice flavors though, interesting fruit beer.
