Medium buble head. Very smoky aroma. Ham, hearth, wood, malt, caramel, crust of bread, chocolate, plum. Eatable. Smoky taste but less than the aroma. Furthermore caramel, plums, crust of bread. Low carbonation, medium body, low bitter. Legendary, worthy to taste

Flaska inköpt 2019. Brunsvart vätska med fingertjock skum. Framträdande arom av rökt malt, rökt skinka och charkuteri. Kort sagt - blunda och vandra in i en slaktarbod som specialiserats på rökta delikatesser. Kraftig maltig smak där främst slaktaren och dennes produkter återkommer. Det finns en lagom sötma i smaken med matchande humle. Tusan vet om där inte också återfinns karamellsmak. Den maskeras dock kraftigt av delikatessbodens rökiga specialiteter.

Bottle from Geers, Oostakker. Pours hazy dark brown-amberish with a completely thinning, off-white head. Complex aroma of smoked sausage, charcoal, bacon, burnt wood, smoke, brown bread, caramel, dried & baked banana. Taste has sweet banana, raisin, bready-malty backbone, deeply smoky then with notes of (bitter) wood, salt, bacon, meaty umami. Lingering woodiness, dry, earthy hoppy finish, smoke, meat & malty sweetness. Medium body, oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Very complex & surprising Rauchbier, malty & smoky profile very elegantly interwoven.

Black, tanned creamy head, really looks like some ice cream was put on top. Must be one of the nicest beers I ever saw. Nose is smoke, malts, roast, sweetness. Taste starts sweet, malts, soft roast, sweetness again, than the smoke comes up, very smooth and not at all overdone. This is one of the most balanced beers with lots of tastes I ever came by. Give me another one, a bottle a week, at least. One of the nicest beers I ever tasted. A few days later I tasted it again and I felt the same.
