Beer number five in a ’random tasting session’ with myself on 13th April 2017. Belgium, USA, Japan and Scotland represented so far, Spain choosen for now. 33cl bottle (posh looking thing): BBD Dec 2017. Poured slowly into a Westmalle chalice: clear golden body, bright and clean looking, the head a well formed blanket of uneven white foam. Citrus leanings in both the nose and taste, delicate and subtle in nature: grapefruit and lemon flavours to the fore. Not really my thing, but nice enough: would have suited a warm sunny day rather than an overcast Spring day in Shropshire.

Pours hazy lemon yellow with a thin, rapidly disappearing, white head. Aroma is pomelo (not grapefruit), lemon and pine. Mouthfeel is very light, almost no body, low carbonation. Slightly bitter, low-lingering finish.

Taste is citrusy and minimally floral hoppy, slightly diluted notes of lemon, lemon zest, hints of lime, lime peel, biscuity malty basis with a salty cracker touch; light and slightly watery, lasting bitter, minimally chalky finish.

That’ll be me 20K then @ ChrisO’s. Bit drunk now. Thanks to Ian. Light haze on this gold beer, decent white head. Palate is light, semi dry and fairly crisp. Thin cream. LIght sweet floralness. Smooth light finish. Not bad.
