The No. 1 Weissbier in Germany and one of the world’s favourites. Naturally cloudy and shining silky-gold in the glass under a really strong head of foam. At the first mouthful this weissbier classic has a mild aroma of banana. Finer palates detect a trace of mango and pineapple and the balance between sweet and bitter. Beer connoisseurs appreciate the fine note of yeast and the mild but sparkling mix of aromas. It is a typical beer garden beer, which brings people together all over the world.

Amber, opaque color with a creamy head. Aroma is slightly sweet banana bread and spicy cloves. Taste is rich and sweet banana bread with a sharp, funky bite at the end.

Bottle from the mixed 12 pack from Hannaford. Lightly hazy dark straw color with a rocky white head that persists. Cereal bready and crackery maltiness with hints of floral hops and a spicy earthy yeast character.

Bottle. Nose is clover, yeast, wheat, banana, hint of bubble gum. Taste is wheat, lemon, banana, bubble gum, leading to cloves, hint of spice, yeast and bread, with a light herbal hop note. Classic.

Belle complexité aromatique sur cette Hefeweissbier avec une excellente complexité qui aurait mérité une meilleure vivacité pour être réellement au top. Mais avec seulement 5,5 %, on ne peut que saluer le résultat, d'autant que l'alcool ne se laisse pas prendre à revers par la douceur. Du côté du visuel, rien d'extraordinaire : un blond opaque surmonté d'une mousse blanchede3 mm. Le nez laisse percevoir un joli cocktail autour de la banane, du pain, de la pomme, de la pêche relevé par du girofle. Dès l'attaque un léger poivre vient en plus réhausser l'ensemble. On est alors agréablement surpris par la densité et la profondeur aromatique. Une très légère acidité, donnant une touche de la fraîcheur est également présente. La seconde bouche est globalement linéaire. On regrette alors un alcool qui manque de tonus. Mais l'arrière-bouche, ample et riche est là pour nous consoler. Le final, toujours par cet alcool un peu faiblard manque de vivacité avec une douceur trop prononcée. Une belle palette et une richesse aromatique...pour un tel titrage, cela est déjà une très belle prestation.

As far as classics go, this right up there for me, probably the first hefeweizen I ever had. Pours a cloudy gold with a big, frothy white head, and a wonderful yeasty aroma of malt, banana and sugary sweetness with some vanilla essence in there too. The mouthfeel is grainy and creamy, the tastes from the aroma building into the finish, leaving a dry and sweet aftertaste
