Sample @ CBC. Murky, a bit spicy and with heavy notes of dried fruits. Unbalanced. Strange.

Sample at CBC 2015. Dark brown with a small head. Sweetish with malt, caramel, light wood, some chocolate and dark fruit. The body was on the thick side. A descent one.

Tap at CBC 2015. Very murky dark brown pour with no real head. Aroma of overripe dark fruits, oak, vinous notes, caramel, vanilla, light honey/floral notes and booze. Flavor is heavy sweet. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours dark brown with a smooth head. Aroma of spices, cinnamon, rye, wood, toffee and caramel. Taste is smooth, sweetish and earthy with loads of spices, hints of cinnamon and rye. Finish is sweetish, earthy and grainy with some toffee and caramel. A bit unbalanced.

Draught @ CBC’15
Aroma is slightly sour with milky tones and licorice. Flavour has licorice, sweet sugary tones and some candy tones. Too sweet without anything balancing the equation.

Tap at CBC2015. Dark brown color, small off-white head. A bit spicey, ryeish malty aroma, some toffee. Medium-bodied. Toffee, vanilla, liquerish palate. Some alcohol in the finish. Ok.

Bottle thanks to Manny G. It pours darkest brown with a decent beige head. The nose is rich, earth, spicy, big fruit cake, Dundee cake, plum, cinnamon, clove, burnt cream and nutmeg. The taste is bitter, earthy, spicy, brown bread, fruit cake, ginger snap, spice, dried fruits, wood, toasty and leather with a dry finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Well rounded and rather tasty. Very nice. Actually quite brilliant.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Padraig. Pours clear, deep brown with a foamy khaki head. The aroma holds ripe dark fruits, leather, faint tang, slice, cake. Medium sweet flavor with some oily chocolate, cinnamon, ginger, fruitcake, berries, low bitterness. Medium to full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with log chalky spice, cinnamon, toasty bread, gooey fruits, toffee, mellow cocoa. Excellent.
