5 July 2019. At Dok Brewing Festival. Cheers to Anke & Ghent beer crew! Clear golden with a very thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of grain, bread, banana, yeast, apple peel, cellar, dust. Taste is light fruity sweet, notes of apple & pear on a bready-yeasty character with bitter accents of grain & grass; lemony undercurrent leads to a dryish, grainy finish, with faint grassy-earthy hops, lingering yeast & apple. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Came across as somewhat bland, but I had had a fair share of beers by then.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 34B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 03/10/18). AROMA: medium-high hop aroma with notes of grapefruit, lime and faint mint. medium-low malty-sweet backgorund and almost neutral. APPEARANCE: gold color and cristal clear. medium-low white head with average retention. TASTE: similar to aroma with medium hop notes (lime, grapefruit) and a medium-low neutral malty and slightly sweet background. medium-high bitterness with an almost dry and bitter finish that persists. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a hoppy lager very similar to a APA.
