Bottle at home, black beer, small to no head. Aroma is roasted coffee, malt,, some tobacco, hint of chocolate, taste is the same, bitter, dry, coffee, chocolate, nice.

Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie; 24th Feb 2020. 33cl bottle, via Mat, bottle filled on 25th Jan 2019. My penultimate beer of the evening. Coffee esters and flavours rule this black beer, some vanilla traces to help with sweetening the coffee bitterness, which worked nicely. Pleasant all round.

330ml bottle @ monthly beer share, Chez Sophie, FEB 20, during the famous Shrewsbury floods of 2020. Thanks MonsterMagnet for this. Blackened pour with off-white pale beige head. Robust coffee roast on the nose. Taste presents a pleasant blend of strong coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Nicely balanced, drinks well. Brewed for a good cause too.

Bottle from Ferry (thanks!), one year after release. Pours a black colour and a light brown head with a thin layer retention. Aroma's: sweetish, roasted, coffee/mocha, molasses. Retronasal it's sweetish, chocolate, coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet with some roasty bitterness and light (coffee?) sourness. Body is light medium. Long finish, roasty and moderate bitter.

Vanillig malziger, fein rauchiger Beginn. Rund würzig, schokoladig, rund, intensiv, mittellangver Abgang. Gelungen. 10/11/12/11/10/11

33cl bottle from a trade with Monstermagnet, thanks. A black beer with a tan head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, sweet chocolate, vanilla, liquorice. Taste of sweet chocolate, caramel, dark moderate roasted dark malt. Nice!

Bottle, black. Coffee And soft roast in the aroma. Coffee, Caramel, chocolate, roast And licorice in the flavor. Low on Carbon, Thin for the style. Raisin. One extra point for the good cause.

Sampled at THT. Very dark brown with beige head. Sweet chocolate, coffee candies, dry herbs, sweet malts, light port, sweet milk chocolate covered nuts, bitter grassy and soft yeast. Over medium sweet and bitter. Almost full bodied. Decent!
