Champagnegist is wat dit zwaar blond z’n unieke karakter geeft. Droog, mousserend en kruidig zijn woorden die dit bijzondere bier het best beschrijven.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 17/12/2025.
Clear golden blonde topped with a lasting white head.
Nose is straw, grains, dull fruit esters, herb, hedgerow, cereals, light white grape.
Taste comprises light yeast, straw, grains, herb, fruit esters.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Okay but doesn't really deliver any great flavour profile ABV conisdered.

A very mild haze on this paleish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Airy palate, a mild dryness, good superfine minerally carbonation. Smooth and light pale malts, a light creamyness, pretty sweet, works here. Some estery things in the mid, touch of banana. The champagne yeast does its thing and brings a light but pleasing apple - pear vibe, emphasis on the pear. Mellow citrus on the back end, it's really an apologetic tertiary characteristic here and, that is just fine. This, to me, is like a superior stronger Belgian Blonde, the special yeast just takes it to the next level. Light and very drinkable and, after warming up a bit, showing some mild dried fruit and stone fruit character. Well brewed and dangerously drinkable.

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, yeasty, herbal. Taste: Malty, sweetish, yeasty, fruity esters (banana, stone fruit), herbal notes, a little champagne-like. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet. Ok, but not that interesting. Have had better brut beers.

Bottle 0,75ltr: Hazy golden colored brew with more dry than sweet bitter taste, hints of lemon, orange, white pepper and faintly the champagne. It's like an Duvel with some champagne but weaker.

0.33 l bottle thanks to Jeffrey who shipped it from Netherlands. The bottle was damaged. Unclear golden, small off-white head. Aroma is ripe fruit, petroleum, ripe honey, oxidised. Ripe fruit, berries, white grapes, bready, some bitterness. Flat as expected. Oily, strong, light finish. Alcohol hidden. Hope to rerate.

Bottle, bit fucked up from transport, so let's see. Clear golden body, some remnants of a white head. My pour was muddy, but not the beer's fault. Full grainy, honneyish, red apple, citric, flowery, light phenols in the background. Flat taste, phenolic, fruity, honeyish, dry, pleasant taste - I can see it being better in better shape. Very well hidden alcohol, light bitterness, yeasty touches coming from my body. I mean, our sample lost the carbonation, and I'm giving it 0.2 extra as it's not the beer's fault.

Bottle, 9%. Fruity aroma with notes of bubble gum. Almost clear golden colour. Sparkling. Good stable white head. The flavour is fruity with a peppery and bitter alcohol note. High carbonation. Yeasty finish.
