Blueberry Flanders is our Flanders-Style Red Ale that was fermented and aged in Missouri Chambourcin barrels with Missouri yeast and bacteria and Michigan Blueberries for 20 months before being naturally conditioned in the bottle. [Released 7/25/2014]

CBC. Hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and sour fruit. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 020515

CBC. Dark brown/red with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, sour fruit, sour, oak and dark fruit. Flavour is malt, fruit, oak, wood, sour fruit, yeast, medium sweet, vinegar and a little bitter.

Draught @ CBC 2015. Pours dark reddish brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of light sourness, wood, yeast, oak, light vinegar, berries, blueberries. Flavor is sourness, wood, yeast, bretty, oak, light vanilla, vinegar, balsamico, berries, blueberries. Thin to medium body, average carbonation, dry and rather acidic finish. 020515

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session 4, 02/05/2015. Reddish amber with a moderate beige cap. Nose is tarte berry, wood must, pissy, brett pang, oaky vanilla, sticky dark fruits. Taste comprises sweetβnβsour tones, tarte fruit rinds, dates, acidic notes, bitter citric rise, damp wood, tarte red berry Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with rising acidity. Decent flanders red.

CBC Green Session. Keg. Hazy red - amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and crispy. Very sharp lemon sourness dominates a little Flemish red cherry and balsamic. Dry finish. Way too acid for me.

[5/2/15] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. 4th session. Deep red color. Great funky aroma with cheese, cellar and blueberries. Sour flavor, funky, lactic, with cellar, blueberries and cobwebs. Great.

From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015, Green session. Red color with off white head. Yeasty funky bretty with barnyard notes aroma, fruity, berries, wood. Sweet bitter and acidic taste, funky wineous fruity. Light to medium body oily with soft carbonation.

Tap at CBC 2015. Pours clear dark amber with a ring off white head. Aroma of big tart blueberries, funk, lactic, citrus. Flavor is heavy sour. Light bodied with soft carbonation.
