RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at at Abirradero. Reddish brown colour. Moderately roasty aroma and flavour, slightly sour. Not really great.

Sunday, 10th July 2016. Sat outside Abirradero, Barcelona with the RBESG guys: on-tap. Red hue to the brown body, beige head. Herbal and hedgerow fruits in the aroma with a mild chocolate maltiness also. Taste similar, with a rounded, roasted maltiness forcing a mini-bitterness towards the finish. Not too sure I’d call this an ’Old Ale’ styled beer though. Not seen a bottle of course, so no idea of the brewing process or aging of this beer.

Tap at Abirradero. Dark reddish brown with beige head. Sweet caramel, cardboard, lots of blackberries and overripe fruits. Over medium sweet with a bit grassy bitterness. Over medium bodied.

From tap. Pours golden deep brown with a small tan head. Yeasty, phenolic and toasted dark malty. Dry, roasted and slight bitter. Mild herbal finish.
