From the blackest depths of the brewhouse comes Damien, Child of Darkness. Spawned from the usually discarded remnants of Darkness, Damien is a dry-hopped black ale with flavors of roasted malt and dark brown sugar. Tangerine and pine aromatics only add to its insidious appeal.

Pours a deep, dark black with good-sized head, though one that very quickly dissipates to almost nothing. Aroma is full of coffee and roasted grain. Flavor also has a lot of coffee to it, plus some licorice/anise, dark fruit, roasted grains, and just a bit of hop-pine lingering in the background. I’m glad I got a chance to try, but a bit disappointed that it wasn’t a bit more awesome.

Really freaking good. Upon opening the bottle I ain’t got with so good fresh hops. Aroma out of the class includes toasted malt. Flavor loses some of the pop character but not too much and what stands out is The Malt and the roasted barley soft texture and super drinkable excellent finish killer beer
