Keg at Man in The Moon, Stockholm. Clear deep golden, small head. The aroma holds a wide array of smokey elements. Tart with above medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Charcuterie and tarry smoke meets tartness and juniper berries. Low bitterness. Very interesting beer, but very loosely related to Gotlanddricka - if at all.

750mL bottled August 2022, batch 7, drunk 7/8/23. Clear, highly effervescent, blonde-golden with a massive, white head of modest retention. Nose is just insane. A plethora of varied smoked malts/wheats shows rich barbecue, black pepper, peated Scotch and deep wood. Very light souring bacterial notes on the back end, with supportive, but not overbearing maltiness and soft Brett. Clean, no alcohol. In the mouth it's surprisingly minimally smokey; odd that it can be so strong in the nose but so light in flavor. In it's place, sweet gale and juniper provide light acidity, while souring bacteria provides long, rich, lemony sourness. Soft wheat, hints of peppery, salty smoked malt and a soft, well-carbonated texture with good attenuation. Clean, no alcohol, not too acidic.

Smoke and some citrus, lime. Pours hazy orange with ok head. A little apricot. Pours hazy orange with good head and lacing. A hint of pepper. Interesting but I actually liked the gin barrel Viking metal version better, which isn't usual for me. Tap at Sovereign.

Bottle from the brewery: Batch 6: pours hazy light yellow with a white head. Aroma is at first very smokey, but later you get the juniper, light fruitiness. Taste is smokey and sort of lightly sour. Interesting taste. Quite good.

Shared 750ml bottle. Batch 6, November 2017. Pours a pale murky yellow color, with a fizzy white head. Aroma is campfire smoke, juniper, sour fruit, herbs, burnt rubber, medicinal notes. Taste follows nose with lemon, funk, salt, and peat notes. Finish is smoky and sour. Very unique, but I can't get into it.
