Barleywine gemaakt met gerst, gerst en nog eens gerst. Standaard goed voor de langdurigste brouwsessie van het jaar. Het is het allemaal waard want dit is een ontzettend krachtig bier. Het aroma is moutig met een vleugje caramel. De smaak is verrassend fruitig met een nasmaak van geroosterde noten.

Dark chestnut brown colour, beige foam. nose of chocolate, roasted malts, unripe vegetables. Taste is medium sweet, some hints of chocolate, rather bitter hoppy finish, some tartness.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Malt, cookies and soft herbal notes in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with butter cookies and herbal hops. Full bodied, warming alcohol. Pleasant.

Fles 33cl thuis. Kleffig, roasted malts, bitters, zoeten, wat koffietonen, caramel, alcohol. (10-2017).

33 cl bottle @ home. Deep dark brown color. Light brown head. Aroma’s of caramel/toffee, dried fruit, a bit alcohol. Retronasal there’s toffee, sweetness, sticky toffe cake, some alcohol, fruit, light yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet and with light hopbitterness. Warming alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Light to moderate bitter finish.
