Our Barrels are stored in the Basement of the brewing barnhouse of the HillDevils located in the Wouwse Plantage, Holland. Every barrel has it's own unique characteristic flavours wich melt with the beer. We Aged the Big Black Boltini (Russian Imperial Stout) in the Organic Bruichladdich Unpeated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Barrel for a period of 8 month's.

Bottle from het Biermoment, dated 11 2016, 33 cl sample. Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma of lots of dark chocolat, smoked and bacony, and some roasty coffee. Roasty bitterness, dark chocolat, slight smokey notes. Barrel is just very subtle, which is perfect for me. Lots of dark chocolat and some coffee, all on the bitter side and not much cookie sweetness. Nice brew.
