Bottle, 4.8%. Mild malty and nutty aroma with a whiff of soy. Almost clear amber colour. Ok stable off-white head. The flavour is papery, roasted, nutty with a little soy again. Medium bitterness. Acidic finish.

Bergisches Landbier aus der Erzquell Brauerei Bielstein, Flasche vom Flaschbierschop. - Kupferrotbraun, fast klar. Dennoch trinkbar. (2.6.2021.)

Bottle courtesy of Gabriel. Pours dark amber with a frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, dark fruits, chocolate, nut, bread and a hint of ripe banana. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. Pretty good as bottled Altbiers go.

500mml. bottle as part of the European Secret Santa 2017 edition, many thanks to Erzengel for this bottle. Tasted on the 05/01/2018 at home. Amber colour with a low white head. Aroma of grains, malts and yeast. Taste is malty caramel and some dried fruits. Next one please!

0.5 l bottle from ’Akzenta’ (Barmen), best before December 2016. Dark, reddish amber with a medium large, dense and slightly creamy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Faint, sweetish-malty and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, red fruits, nuts and some bread. Sweetish-malty, a little fruity taste of caramel, nuts, red fruits, some bread and hints of chocolate, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a bit metallic finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not very deep, but quite tasty and quaffable. Nice!

Thanks to Erzengel for that one. Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass darker than exspected. Starts mild, fine malty, modest roasty. Light sweetish notes. Finish a bit boring-malty, but still okay.

Süffig-süßliches Bier. Mild-weich, malzig-trocken mit leicht süßlicher Malznote. Lecker süffig-würzig, etwas süffig-trocken, lecker.
