33cl, bottle.
Pours dark amber with thin off-white head.
Nose is sour cherry and sour in general, flavor is sour beer, amber beer and a sour cherry finish. Really good beer, my first of this kind.
Really liked it! :D

Reviewed from notes.
On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, VT on 12/01/2017.
Into a tulip.
Appearance: dark ruddy amber to mahogany color with a quarter finger of pink to off-white foamy head which dissipated nicely into the glass; no lace
Aroma: tart and sour cherry notes with sweet wood, sly funky note, sweet earthy to sweet leather and a whiff of vanilla ever so slightly down in there
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fair sweet to sturdy tart and sour conglomeration; finishes dry with some tart to sour cherry notes
Texture: medium bodied; this is a sipper! yes, there's some smoothness but not the smoothness I tend to get in many beers I usually consume in the U.S. as this one seems to be like a "dry sort of smooth" character
Overall: I say a very nicely done Flanders Red Ale worthy of coming back to.

Smells like straight vinegar. The body is predominantly dark cherry with some funky notes in the finish.

Color granate oscuro, espuma rosácea cremosa y persistente. Aroma y sabor vináceo y agridulce, con notas de establo, levadura, cerezas...Posiblemente una de las cervezas de este estilo que más he disfrutado, sencillamente exquisita.

Bottle at home. Pours ruby with quickly disappearing off-whitr head. Nose is intense fruity, tart and refreshing with a touch of wood and funk. Taste is lightly sweet upfront, then quickly takes a fruity, sour and funky turn and then closes with a long lasting, tart and fruity finish. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Tasty.

"Rodenbach Alexander", Fläschchen von Töpper, Moabit, 16.3.2025. - Schwarzrot, klar.

Vintage 1998. Clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit, port and oxidated. Flavor is quite sweet and light acidic. Dry and light acidic finish. Went really well with my stoofvlees. I kept a little in the glass for most of the evening just to have a smell once in a while :o) 20072012 --- Had the 2016 version twice on tap, and it’s really nice as well. Much more aggressive and fruity compared to the 1998 version.
