Saison is our muse, and we tirelessly work to create it in our own image. Our approach is simple: the highest quality ingredients, cool primary fermentations, and the long, slow development of nuance, all shepherded by our singular house culture. Like Minds, a barrel-aged buckwheat Saison, tracks this path while reflecting our love for elegant and approachable mixed-fermented beer. With a rustic nuttiness from the buckwheat and a subdued acidity wrapped in the proverbial horse blanket of brettanomyces, Like Minds celebrates our esteemed peers who also nudge the boundaries of farmhouse-inspired beers. We hope you appreciate this newest interpretation of our siren’s call.

dark golden color. Like stone fruit, oak, buckwheat in the nose. Not overly impressive. Medium full body, medium bitterness good funk yeasty character. Smooth. I just can’t love this.

Thanks TimE for sharing! Tulip showing pale gold with sparse white foam.

The nose shows lightly intense notes of barnyard and farmhouse.

The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Sparkling acidity throughout with lightly tart notes of brett, barnyard, and light oak barrel with light white vinous notes on the finish.

Nice perfect rustic saison to finish the night. Beer-wise at least. Lemony and grassy perfection upfront with a lingering oaky finish.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma has a light grain note, somewhat spicy with a bit of biscuit and bread. Medium light citrus (mostly lemon) and grape must with hints of pineapple and stone fruit. Light oak and earthy, herbal funk. Pours a slightly hazy, golden color with a medium sized, thick, creamy, white head that recedes somewhat quickly to a small film that lingers in the center and on the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is fairly acidic with a light sharpness. Light sweetness with faint grain notes and light biscuit notes. Low bitterness and faint alcohol notes. Light oak notes with fruity citrus (lemon and lime), green grape, pineapple and stone fruit notes. Light earthy, herbal funk with a hint of grassiness. Light mineral notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice saison but a bit more acidic than I prefer. Solid SARA funk and nice oak notes.

Ok tasty and refreshing ale. Unclear yellow golden pour with a fine head. Ok lacing. Looks nice and inviting. Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Quite tart this one. But within limits. Buckwheat, fruity, citric and yeast in the flavor. [On tap at Haand Festival -19] Brewery #152
