(Tap sample @ CBC 2016 Red Session, Copenhagen) Pours clear pale caramel colour with an off-white head. Nose of caramel, nuts, dark bread, golden raisins, soft funk, iron/metallic note. Flavour recapitulates that odd metallic overtone that sadly colours a lot of the other notes, which has nuts and toasted grains mixed with lemon lactic sourness, vaguely fruity, some oak in the finish, lightly sweet and very lightly bitter. Rather light bodied and a bit watery in feel with soft carbonation. This seemed like an odd beer to me, the tin can vibe put me off and it didn't seem substantial or focused.

Draught @ CBC 2015. Pours hazy reddish brown with a creamy reddish offwhite head that leaves lots of sticky trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, slightly fruity and funky with dark bread, toasted malts, lemon juice, raspberries, blackberries, hay, minerals, leather, barnyard and lemon zest. Taste is sour, malty and funky. Mouthfeel is dry, tart, mouth-puckering and light to medium bodied. Finish is sour with crispbread, dark bread, toasted malts, lemon juice, lime juice, red berries, hay, minerals, leather, barnyard and lemon zest. Shows lots of potential but the citrix acidity hides almost all the complexity of the malts and funk in the taste. Dial back that and allow the other components of the beer to shine and this would be great.
